We dispose
of all of your medical wastes, including: biohazards waste, sharps waste,
pharmaceutical waste, amalgam, and developer. Florida Biomedical Waste
Program Biomedical (or biohazardous) wastes are materials that are, or
are saturated, with potential blood borne pathogens. These include items such
as bodily materials, gauze, saturated gloves, and disposable materials from
procedures. Process and secondary
wastes include materials such as amalgam, mercury, and developer. These
materials may encounter potential blood-borne pathogens or may be harmful to
the environment. Biomedical waste is
defined as any solid or liquid waste which may present a threat of infection to
humans. Included in this definition are
non‑liquid human tissue and body parts, laboratory and veterinary
waste which contains human‑disease causing agents, discarded
disposable sharps, human blood, blood products, body fluids and other material.
